A Peripheral Venogram is a diagnostic imaging procedure used to evaluate the veins in the arms or legs. It helps doctors identify issues like blood clots (deep vein thrombosis or DVT), vein narrowing, blockages, or abnormal vein structures.
A contrast dye (a special fluid that shows up on X-rays) is injected into a vein in the arm or leg. X-ray images are then taken as the dye flows through the veins. This allows the medical team to see the condition of the veins in real-time.
